Assist with and/or manage the day-to-day financial and paperwork tasks such as reviewing mail, verifying and paying bills, banking, and organizing records for taxes.
Daily Money Management
Bill paying, including calls to payees regarding incorrect bills and preparation of checks for clients to sign
Reconciling checking, credit card, and investment statements
Maintaining organization of bank records
Preparing and delivering bank deposits. Arrange for direct deposits and transfers
Organizing tax documents to streamline tax preparation
Monitoring estimated tax payments
Documenting non-cash donations to maximize deductions
Monitoring credit card activity for accuracy and to avoid fraud. Negotiating with creditors
Deciphering medical insurance papers and verifying proper processing of claims
Preparing an inventory of important documents
Interacting with legal, tax, and investment professionals
Acting as power-of-attorney or representative payee for Medicare, Social Security Administration, and other financial institutions
Maintaining home payroll records for use in preparation of payroll tax reports
Preparation of payroll checks for home employees including calculation of Federal and state withholding and FICA taxes
Federal Fiduciary
When appointed by the Veterans Administration as a federal fiduciary for our client, we are responsible to the beneficiary, to oversee financial management of VA benefit payments, and follow all VA requirements including but not limited to:
Submitting periodic accounting’s when required
Communicating with VA
Managing the beneficiary‘s VA income
Ensuring the beneficiary‘s just debts are paid
Utilizing the funds for the daily needs (e.g., food, clothing, housing, medical expenses, and personal items) of the beneficiary and his/her recognized dependents
Keeping accurate, complete records and receipts, regardless of any requirement to submit periodic accounting’s
